I had gone to an event called Reiki Night back in 1996 I didn't know what to expect really, I didn't know if it would be like going and getting a massage or what. When I arrived there was a group of people waiting around in the lobby, My curiousity getting the better of me I started asking questions, One lady told me that she came every week because she had a brain tumor and this was the only thing that really took the pain away, Another person told me that they came because of other health conditions, so I asked if they were seeing a doctor they both said yes. And that they were being treated for the conditions but they came here to accelerate their healing process. I asked how, and They told me that the energy worked on every level of your being , and that Reiki was a very nurturing energyI waited my turn and after my session I felt very peaceful, relaxed and renewed. It was then that I decided I was going to learn Reiki and every aspect of it so that I could help others as the people at that Reiki Night had helped me and the others that were there that night.
